Buti yoga: movement medicine for a sexy body and lifted spirit

Just a month ago I was trying all the fitness apps possible, as I wanted to lose some pounds gained during the lockdown, and get more fit. I do yoga for over five years, but I needed something dynamic that could make me sweat, have fun while getting ripped, and lose weight. Most fitness apps have high repetition exercises and meal plans. I was sick and tired of doing the same shit over and over again for 10-20 times. Besides, it’s fucking boring.

Many of us are mistakenly programmed to believe that for something to work it has to feel like punishment. We KNOW that’s not really the case. We want you to shift your mindset from workout to movement and from punishment to celebration.

Today smart web knows our tastes, Google searches, preferences, Mama’s name, etc. We live in Cambridge Analytica’s reality (but that’s another story). So Facebook caught my eyeballs with an ad of Buti Yoga. There were a lot of shitty comments from “saint yogis”, who’ve never tried buti, but were bitching on how yoga NOT it was. But, to be honest, it made me even more curious and I dived in.

One month later I’m a motherfucking buti yoga maniac.

What is buti yoga?

Buti yoga is badass movement medicine for those, who would like to tone up and have fun during the one-of-a-kind practice. Think yoga remixed when absolutely all muscles are involved (especially abs) and you are sweating those calories out to rhythmic music.

Starting the day with this kind of yoga makes my body feel amazing. My wild feminine energy of a 100% extravert is in place after such a badass release, plus there are a lot of heap and heart openings. I’m toned up, ready for any challenges and events of the day, energetic and confident. If I am not up for a hardcore workout, there is Deep Series, a collection of much calmer and slower yoga sequences. However, it still makes all the muscles work and keeps you toned.

The spiritual side of this kind of yoga is strong as well. It connects me with a primal aspect of myself and helps me work on my negative emotions, stress, and anxiety. It balances me in every way possible – physically, spiritually, and mentally.

Every morning I wake up curious to see what my next buti workout is like, they are never the same. I switch on and design my body, mood, attitude. It is the main part of my morning routine. Then I meditate and have a beautiful healthy breakfast. This month my meal plan is put together by a nutritionist. It adds even more value to all my activities. Ready to crush it!

Like every project, it has something to improve as well. It would be great to read the description of every session under each video, so I know what each of the workouts is about. For now, I can only guess from the sessions’ names. Professional (or just filmed differently) videos would work much batter for the group live workouts. It’s not too fun to see only a piece of the instructor and only feet or booties of the other yogis. Other series look great and I enjoy seeing instructors and participants with different body types. It makes it real. We are all different, but beautiful as we are. You have to have balls making a decision to love every bit of yourself, sticking to such a powerful badass practice daily. But watch the results.
